X1 White Paper Revision Reveals 256 MB RAM

Five days ago, Sony Ericsson published the second, revised version of the X1 whitepaper.

As always, there’ll be a few moments of pure druelling and awe, but once that’s over, some people might notice a few changes. One of the changes is that the X1 now comes with 256 megabytes of RAM memory compared to 128 megabytes in the release version. This is major! This basically means that the X1 will be a lot faster, and its multitasking abilities will be greatly enhanced by this.

Another thing I noticed was some amazing battery life times. In standby, Sony Ericsson had measured standby times up to 580 hours on GSM networks, while the X1 came up to an amazing 833 hours of standby on UMTS. Wow! It’s impressive what a 1500 mAh battery can do for a phone.

Man I just wanna know when it will be released in Australia. I CAN’T WAIT ANOTHER 6 MTHS!!! God I love this phone…. On the topic, if it’s put in the white paper how likely is that to change. I hope they keep the extra ram. Sounds like they will need it.

Let me disagree with “One of the changes is that the X1 now comes with 256 megabytes of RAM memory compared to 128 megabytes in the release version. This is major! I’d say that, if you don’t keep many apps open at the same time, you’ll hardly notice any difference compared to the 128 (or even 64M) case.

All you’ll notice is that you can keep many apps open at the same time.

    Wow!! 256 MB RAM!!

Now this should shut up those ugly mouth Sony Ericsson haters, because they know that the prototype of the previeous X1 is slow.

Best regards to the Sony Ericsson!

Alhtough i know that i’m not rich enough to buy this, make me feel impressed is enough.

VERY COOL!!! I was between P200 G702 (but if I’m right Beibei is destinated to Asian market or has SE to sell it also in Europe???) and X1.
Now I’m sure!!! I want X1 for my birthday :D !!!! (October). :-D 256MB RAM???? My old 2003 Compaq laptop and my old 2005 HP media center had the same Ram lol.
ps: I’ve noticed in the new X1 white paper that the phone will be 13grams heavier. (158 instead of 145 in the official announcement)
