HelpAs I’m finishing up the upcoming new blog theme, I want to know what you guys would like to see in this theme, and if there’s anything in particular I should add to enhance your experience when you’re here. Please keep in mind that there are some limitations, and that time is of essence as well.

red DEFINITELY my favorite color i would love to see a red/black theme that is honestly the best thing and the most visually appealing i feel, when i think of SE i think of red for some reason…lol but think about it, all the SE phones now come in what color? RED, they always come as a color choice available i know the next SE phone i get will be in red(unless it’s the xperia) i already see me having a red g900

I was basically thinking if there was some kind of functionality that could be added with the theme, rather than its colours, as I’ve already sorted that some time ago

I think everything youve done so far is really up to scratch, it must be because we all keep coming back here, don’t we
So very well done and congratulations on that (Happy B’Day USEB!).
This would be cool as another seperate section to the site, and mini reviews for the more major software releases. Bear in mind also that SE is moving focus to these areas. With project capuchin (java + flash lite integration), partnerships with UI developers, and the UIQ platform becoming more popular, the A3 platform supposedly coming out soon (rumour!), this sort of thing could take off well.
Anyway, one improvement you may like to consider is in more focus on aftermarket software tweaking. Just minor things like latest available apps, any new themes that really stand out, maybe even a system of users uploading their own creations
Another suggestion, I dont really know if its an idea youd like or see much purpose in, but it would be nice to see a section dedicated to general SE concepts and photoshops or design ideas creation. Something like that could even provide SE with some great direct user feedback

So the new header is gonna have maybe a product leak or a newly announced phone (after the announcement)???
To be honest the only thing I’d like to see changed is the header. Everything else is fine by me! And I don’t mean that as an insult to the header, just creative criticism eh?

The present header color combination is pretty good.One thing I didn’t like is that the blog title is concentrated on the left of the header, leaving too much emptiness in the middle. But hey, its just me

That has pretty much already been fixed in the new theme
Here’s a preview of USEB 2.0 with the new look, enhanced search and new comments look, still minor stuff yet to happen, and the phones in the header will also be replaced just before I’ll put it on.

The “nn Responses” link is currently located below the divider line that visually separates the posts. This gives the impression that the link belongs to the post below, rather than above, the divider line. One way would be to simply, if possible, move the link to above the divider.
A slightly bigger change would, if feasible, be to move both the star rating and the respones link closer to the heading of each post. The rating and responses gives a quick hint about how engaging the post might be, and it would be nice to have them close to the heading.

Some feature to see what SE (or all company’s) phones sell best. I think that’s pretty interesting, because you can, apart from user experiences, see how the phones are actually doing on the market.
But that’s not a real theme inprovement

Yeah I just think that the mobile phone images you currently have floating around the text in the header look cluttered and perhaps would benefit from being moved away from the title and enlarged.
Also I think the text looks a bit faded. Maybe it could be made to be pure white or black? Just my thoughts.

I hope I’ve fixed that a bit in the new one, regarding them being cluttered, but it’s also hard to include phones in such little space. The text is meant to be faded (about 50% opacity), as we don’t want it to distract the reader too much.
Anyway, I’ve improved both things in the new theme, so hopefully that should be OK.
