Here’s our 12-minute video preview of the drool-worthy XPERIA X1. In the video, we’re covering the design and feel of the phone, boot-up, the XPERIA panels, camera and briefly the two web browsers, Opera Mobile and Mobile Internet Explorer. We hope you enjoy the video, as it was straight-up painful to upload (almost 300 megabytes) – this one is not going on YouTube, that’s for sure! At least not today. Keep in mind this is a prototype, although it seems in a stage awfully near retail.

i thought there was only one new addition to the panels & it’s only a different view for the standard home screen? & i think it’s available at the SE website.

Clauf. I would like to ask if the X1 can be operated using one hand when trying to firstly search for a contact, the old p1 and p990’s had the flip keypad which made searching with one hand easy?

Hi Michell,
I read somewhere that Sonyericsson would consider another OS than Windows Mobile for the X1 somewhere in the near future. Any idea? Great video that! The phone seems to be really nice however the only glitch I could spot was that it gets really slow when switching from portrait to landscape and vise versa when on panel mode, you think that can be solved?
