Update on the X1 UK Generic firmware
As promised, here’s a little something about the UK Generic version of the new R2A firmware for the X1. It was supposed to have been released along with the other firmware versions, but has been delayed for unknown reasons. As of now, there is no release date for the UK Generic firmware, but according to Sony Ericsson it should be due shortly.
I wonder what caused the delay, considering the other versions have been released already.
Update! The UK Generic version is now on EMMA, which means it’ll hit SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) soon!

Somehow, I doubt that.
UK_R2A is already avaliable through SE EMMA, and so, it’s avaliable in XDADev. I updated my X1 in Vista X64 using CustomRUU (also on XDA) without any problems
(As it’s official ROM I think HardSPL is not needed)
The update is great, and the X1 feels a bit better than before, bluetooth is fixed. Now let’s hope SE do some great panels and bring us WMo6.5 as soon as it’s officially released.
If anyone want’s to update right now, I packed it with HardSPL and CustomRUU to manually update

After updating, check if your radio is updated to 10.10.25.18, if not; download this other updater to update the radio (I’m not sure if the manual rom upgrade updates it as I had already updated my radio some days ago). Again I’m not really sure if you need to have HardSPL installed, already done that before ;/

I didnt get the update from Sony Ericsson Update Manager, it said that there are no updates for my phone. It’s an X1i. What could be the problem?
update it manually as seus doesnt work
google for the rom and rename it to kovsimg.nbh, upload to your mmcard and enter bootloader.
How do I enter bootloader (after renaming to kovsimg.nbh)? What is the procedure? Thanks.
