The latest music accessories
As some of you might have noticed, we had some rather annoying server / database problems yesterday on both the blog and forum, which resulted in some missing posts. Sony Ericsson did not only announce phones yesterday, they also announced no less than seven music accessories - three speakers, three headsets, and one music case. Let’s start with the speakers.

MBS-200 is a rather stylish metal Bluetooth (A2DP standard) speaker set to replace Sony Ericsson’s current snowball-like speaker, the MBS-100. As something new, the MBS-200 features an OLED display for displaying the song information. It also comes with a 3.5 mm jack input so it can be used for your computer or alike.

The MBS-400 is basically the same as the MBS-200 with the addition of yet another speaker unit. These two are connected by a wire, and can act as a stereo Bluetooth speaker that way.

The MPS-100 is the latest in the series of Portable Speakers from Sony Ericsson. It’s a set of small speakers that can be attached to each other when you’re going somewhere. The MPS-100 also feature a 3.5 mm jack input.

The HPM-66 is the cheapest headset announced. It is designed for the active ones among us (hrm, hrm…). The copper cord is oxygen-free - I’m not sure if this is necessarily a good or bad thing, though, as it would seem to lower the cord’s resistance, and the earplugs are apparently neodymium magnet units, which seems rather nice.. Apart from that, we’re looking at a standard headset from Sony Ericsson - 3.5 mm jack, FastPort connector, and stereo sound in two earplugs.

HPM-88 is the other wired headset. In features everything mentioned above with the addition of noise cancelling, and is thereby one of Sony Ericsson’s first so-called NC headsets. Another thing to note is the design of the earbuds - they’re designed to sit secure and comfortably in the ears.

The last headset is the HBH-IS800, and is without doubt the most interesting one of the pack. It is Sony Ericsson’s smallest stereo Bluetooth headset, and it even features noise cancelling. It is extremely elegant to use, and the design seems very minimalistic, yet stylish. I can’t wait to try out this one!

The last accessory announced was the IPC-40, a Walkman phone case. It is designed to work well with the various headphone accessories, and can keep the wires out of the way, when not used. Pretty cool!
All the accessories will be available in Q4 this year.

I am dying to know where is the battery and the way of charging in the superb HBH-IS800?
hehehe
Is that the C905 that I see in that last leather pouch?
No, it’s the W595.
i am really dying to buy th is magnificant accesseries. These accesseries are dam cooooool…!
@Michell, in this new beta themes, I can’t reply the blog posts using Opera Mini…
The new reply form just went inactive, unclickable… But I still can fill the “Name (required)”, “Mail (will not be published) (required)” and “Website” forms…
In previous blog version, this reply form is clickable… Can you fix this? As many others blog viewers using Opera Mini too…
By the way, HBH-IS800 page is not working on SE website?
And if it features noise cancelling, the talktime can be reduced, compared to other Bluetooth headsets, isn’t it?
And one more thing… In SE websites, C905 doesn’t support HBH-IS800, HPM-77 and HPM-88, but K850i and W902 does…
Just see the list of C905’s supported accessories in there: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/c905?cc=en&lc=en#view=accessories&acc_pid=483401
Why??? It can be the downside for C905… The outdated CyberShot K850i support HBH-IS800, HPM-77 and HPM-88 already… It’s not fair if this new flagship CyberShot doesn’t support it…
Thanks for your attention

Hiron,
I enabled TinyMCE quite some time ago, though, and it was also included in the old theme.
It’s because the comment form makes use of TinyMCE, and there unfortunately no way I can change that for mobile phone users
This page seems to be working fine
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/corporate/products/accessoryportfolio/specification/hbh-is800
Don’t worry about that with C905, it supports it all.
[...] موسيقية أكثر فعالية دون الإخلال بعنصر الشكل الجذاب. و هذة الإطلاقات الثلاثة الاخيرة تحقق هذا الهدف بالضبط, السماعة الأولى [...]
Thanks for the clarification, Michell
I should go to OperaMini DevSite and asking a support for TinyMCE in future OperaMini releases
Strange, in http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/corporate/products/accessoryportfolio/specification/hpm-88
I find that C905 supports it.
But in there, it doesn’t have a support: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/c905?cc=en&lc=en#view=accessories&acc_pid=483401
But now I believe C905 have a supports. Seems SE doesn’t update the website yet
Thanks for your attention, :) :)
