Saturday, March 7th, 2009Hardly the best promotional video I’ve ever seen, but it’s OK. It matches the preloaded content on the W995 pretty well, especially with the differently shaped cartoon-like characters. We’ll publish the preloaded content of the W995 later.

Friday, February 20th, 2009Here’s our 17-minute video preview of the Sony Ericsson W995, which was announced last Sunday. The video includes parts about the design, comparisons with other devices, including the C901 and C903, and of course a fairly thorough walk-through of the user interface and some of the features. Please keep in mind that the phones shown in the video are very early prototypes running very early software. The icons are messed up at the moment, the Walkman player seems to be going through some kind of restructuring, and several features are missing.
The video was a pretty quick job. Didn’t have much time to edit it (not that it would have been much better, but still…), so you’ll have to live with me dropping the phones, etc., now and then.

Such a smooth interface already, and the platform is far from finished. Incredible.

Video: Sony Ericsson phones durability test
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009Having read some of the comments about my rather cool (and totally copyrighted!) way of handling the F305, T700 and W302 in the unboxing videos (read: tossing them around a bit), I’ve decided to go all in with a large durability test, and – naturally – caught it all on tape, err, memory card! The durability test included no less than thirty Sony Ericsson phones that all received some TLC before being airborne. To my great surprise, none of the phones received any scratches from this test – great job, Sony Ericsson!
All right… My time is up, and I’ll leave you with the video and a question just below it…
