Samsung I9000 Galaxy S – The Next Big Thing For Android?

While Sony Ericsson seems to be enjoying the attention from the X10 and the X10 Mini. Samsung seems to be have an ace up their sleeve with their upcoming Android phone, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S.

Heres a short video taken by IntoMobile showing off the Super AMOLED Screen and the Samsung UI.

It doesn’t look that great nor does it look that well built as compared to the X10, but after reading the GSM Arena Review it sure looks like we have a strong contender for the top spot of the Android range. This, along with details of the Motorola Droid Shadow being leaked and the HTC Evo 4G being released on the 4th of June, the Android 2.1 update better come fast for the X10 …. Real Fast.

Samsung TouchWiz UI Video

Everybody is busy making their own custom UI for Android and not to be outdone by SE’s UX Platform or Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, Samsung have produced TouchWiz which you can expect to see on the Behold II handset.

This is a cube based navigation system, perhaps reminiscent of the Linux cube, but I’ll let you see that for yourself…here’s the vid:
