Sony Ericsson released the Xperia X8 in 2010 as a mid range smartphone. They released the W8 later in 2011 with the same specs and a Walkman label, but the sales were not so impressive as X8. We didn’t see anything later from the company to replace these phones (Of course there were the Xperia minis but it’s a different story).
Now details of a phone (ST21i/ST21a) emerges which forces me to conclude that we’ll see a phone that could possibly be the successor of X8 and W8. There is no idea of the design of the phone since there are no pictures available but we do have the specs of the phone which includes:
- 800MHz processor.
- 3.2-inch display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution.
- 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM.
- 3.2MP camera.
The phone may be available in 4 colours. The screenshot above is the AnTuTu benchmark of the phone. The phone is expected to run on Gingerbread.

expected to run gingerbread?
source of that?
I guess you didn’t see the screenshot.
The Xperia Mini and Mini Pro are already cheap enough with reasonable specs. I don’t see why go even lower
even nozomi’s screenshot has gingerbread, that doesn’t means they will release it with gingerbread
lets then pray for ICS.
