Sony Ericsson to bring Facebook application to its feature phones
I was just watching this Swedish video over at Mobil.se about Facebook and Sony Ericsson launching a Facebook application together that integrates with the phone. Apparently, the application will be pre-loaded on many upcoming products, with the C510 being the first.
I sincerely hope they’ll offer it as a free download, so most users can play around with it. It just looks so cool! It seems like the language of the application will be localized, so that’s pretty cool as well!
Here are a few screenshots from the video. If you’re Swedish or would simply like to watch the video, you can check it out here.

wow looks cool i hope they have it for download eventually
Great update. Would love to see it on SE phones =D
This is awesome, I can’t wait for this to become available for download. I don’t know about everywhere else, but pretty much every college student in America is addicted to Facebook, and this will be a huge hit amongst I and my fellow American users. I hope SE develops more Java adaptations of popular websites, YouTube and Facebook are a great start. How about an eBay app, or some Java adaptations of popular Google Web-apps that could sync in real-time, like Google Calendar or Google Reader? A good weather app would be nice, too.
Very nice! I’m sure I’ll download it if it becomes available.

Has any other application been released for older phones? I don’t think so?
I hope it will come to c905 aswell in a update or alone app
Does anyone realize the only thing you can do in this application is update and look at status’s ? Or what about coming to the realization that blackberry and iphones can upload, tag, look at photos, comment all through the application?…i mean its great that se has finally done “something” but its honestly not good enough, not in this day and age when phones are being used to remotely control computers, scan bar codes and verify cc transactions (these are all iphone apps). The least they could do was make a GOOD facebook application since they took so damn long making anything.
