Sony Ericsson isn’t doing too well

In a recent interview with a Japanese daily, Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda has stated that the Sony Ericsson joint venture needs at least €100 million before March next year in order to keep going. How they’ll get the funds is yet to be decided, though. The main reasons for this financial deficit are believed to be the high return rates of handsets, the rather uncompetitive product portfolio, the falling demands and hence, the high losses in recent quarters. Bad news, indeed.
