Satio hands-on at ePrice

Naturally, most of us can’t understand a word in Chinese, so just head on over to the site to see some pretty photos of the Satio’s many colours (or 3, to be more precise) and its interface in action. Still action.
Nah, kidding, there are also 3 videos (coincidence? I think not!).
Generally I think that the interface transitions are much smoother this time around. You’ve got to wonder why does it always lag at those conferences? And how the hell did ePrice manage to get a hold of the Satio? We may never know.
So, what was I saying? Ah, yes, click on the link below. Like, now.

Shows some nice new interesting things. I wish someone could talk Chinese and would translate it. I’m sure there are some new information in that text.
Look at the Image editing tool btw, looks cool.
FAST, SMOOTH & LAG FREE INDEED!!!
Well ask google then. Translate.
why don’t release it NOW samsung is getting a worthy opponent watch out SE…
Very Vey nice finaly a touchscreen smartphone with Xenon Flash BUT AAAAAARRRRRRR, Symbian S60 v5 there is no flick scrolling on menu’s, sms or any where with the s60 software only the Sony ericsson add ons, WHY.
I came from Taiwan…
All these 3 phones will be available in Taiwan on Oct.
There will be 2 announcement before 09′ Q4….but level is Mid & Low Range
It was SE Taiwan sent them the prototype, so it claimed anyway. The rest of it was like resistive touchscreen and the replacement of M2 with microSD card. PlayNow arena will have DRM free downloads and it’s a dual phone/computer download platform. I like what SE’s done with the UI. Look forward to their N97 review later this month.
VGA video and 12 Megapixels it’s a joke ???
Samsung can recorded in 16:9 HD 720 and 8 Megapixels cam.
Sony is a funny company, really
Shanson27 go to the GSM Arena and complain there
Hav eyou even heard the audio quality of the Omnia HD clips?
Can anyone clarify if we can flick-scroll in the Symbian menus or it is strictly by the scroll bar by the side? If we can’t flick-scroll then would it also means that in listed menus, we have to double click to select the option (like in the Nokia 5800)?
Seriously, can you advice me what’s the meaning of flick-scroll in Symbian phone touchscreen. I really don’t have any clue about it. Thanks in advance
I assume that by saying flick-scroll, baineteo means gesture-based list scrolling, as opposed to dragging a slider. Think flicking up or down with your finger anywhere on the touchscreen.
And no, I don’t know whether it’s going to be supposrted. Here’s hoping it is.
The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is better than SE Satio !
Shanson28 I complain both phone there and I must say:
Sony Ericsson: 3.5 Zoll 360×640 pixel , 16,777,216 color TFT touchscreen
Symbian OS 5th Edition
Kamera with 12 Megapixel and Xenon-Blitz
video: VGA 30 frame per/s
18 Millimeter thick
A-GPS
Memory on board only 128 mb
3.5mm Jack
126g
699€
SamsunngHD : 3.7-Zoll-Touchscreen , 16 Mio. color and AMOLED-Technology, 360 x 640
S60-System
8-Megapixel-Kamera with Autofokus and High Light Photo
video record: HD-quality (24fps@1280×720p)
DLNA & HD TV-Output
12.9 mm thick
A-GPS
Memory intern 8GB
3.5mm Jack
144g
599€
You get an 8 GB memory card with the Satio, so the internal storage thingy doesn’t count
Dicussing pricing is useless. We don’t know anything about pricing until they actually hit the shops. Seems like the high end phones will spam the market this fall, I believe we will see much lower prices than the ones Shanson27 writes in his summary.
Oh really Shanson27? How about Omnia HD’s audio quality. I heard that its amr. HD with amr audio how sad..
Where did you get the price of Satio? As far as I know, there is still NO official suggested retail price for it. Post facts not fiction.
