Also, it’s a shame you can’t post full specs seeing as how all hell has broken loose as to whether Paris is, indeed, the phone we’ve been waiting for. It’s amazing how things snowball like this.
I think it’s impossible to tell blockiness from such an admittedly poor-quality shot, plus, the screen is faked (possible the entire phone for the purpose of the video) so that in and of itself makes it impossible to determine resolution simply by looking at it.
so…what happened to the 3G camera in the front of cell phone earlier…these photos are not match up……i guess someone is making up these photos…but it is going to be very similar when they announce the final product
It reminds me of the classical yet beautiful S500 the phone looks sleek, yet it’s powerpacked, if the phone delivers well in performance and aesthetics this would be the best 3GSM phone for 2009 hands on for sure
you seem to be really crazy.
It´s ridiculous that you are guessing all the details.
Espacially Kevin: How can you guess the resolution of a display on an very small high compressed JPG pic? The part of the display at this pic isn´t 100 pix high. Oh! I forgot: “The blockiness of the text on the screen” This is really an indicator. Because it is impossible that highres text can look blocky on a bad, lowres picture. Are you really thinking before writing?
Stop guessing and start waiting for the details of the official announcment.

I will instantly buy it if 1. screen bigger than 2.8 or even 2. 30 fps @ 768kbps vga video recording 3. processor speed <300 mhz (4. hsdpa) thats all I want… even if I would have to pay 1000 euro.
Everyone is just impatient. They want everything now and now and I admit i’m like that. Though unless we get more information or see the final spec sheet, theres no point jumping the gun and saying Paris is a let down. In the next few weeks i’m sure things will become more clearer.
Someone certainly writes before thinking, and it certainly isn’t me.
If you’d read my comment and the one preceding it before jumping to inane conclusions, you’d see that my argument is also that it is impossible to determine resolution from this photo. Indeed, we are actually in agreement on this.
By this look I will not give up on my p1i for this either. I don’t like this machine in picture and ever since the P5’s hype spread around I have been seeing -confirmed- spy shots of strange sets as p5 so I am sitting on edge where I start not to believe on the images. I really really hope to have something breath taking, something out of no where. Not like x1.
Wunderbar!
Looks nice.

photoshop
InDesign!
Ooh! What other Adobe programs can we name?
@Kevin
Patience …
@janne
The chaps at Sony Ericsson are good at them apparently.
who is Bob Jones?
if you compare this photo to the previous one ,,, you will notice that the 3g video call cam is missing????!!!!
the speaker line extends to the full sonyericsson txt but in this one it looks smaller.
i think SE 3ded this shot to make it look nice and maybe to make it stand still
anyways all to be reveled soon.
I can still kind of make out the video call cam. It’s below the front panel so at the right angle it looks like it disappears.
I know it’s not a high-quality photo, but judging by the blockiness of the text on the screen, I would think it’s more likely to be QVGA than VGA.

It’s getting UGLIER!
actually, its getting more and more interesting
now…we want the processor info, its time
Judging from the pic I would say the screen is QVGA. What a let down! Thanks God, we still have X1 to choose.
wow the keypad looks like the one on P1
Now i’m having doubts about turning in my P1 for this…

i guarantee all of you that “this isnt a let down” wait till the specs come out you’ll be surprised

hey mitch, any news about the X1 too? would be nice to have a comparo between the X1 & the P5…
