I received an XPERIA X1 prototype today, and felt like doing a video unboxing of it. Before watching the video, please note that this is a prototype and that the retail box will look substantially different from the prototype box, and that the bundled accessories might differ as well. I’m counting on doing a photo gallery of this beauty tomorrow.

Discouraging results for Sony Ericsson at least. I’m personally quite happy with the quarter results, and expect to see it turn again either in Q4 or Q1 of next year. The results forces Sony Ericsson to do something about the situation. An obvious sign of crisis is when you list one of the quarter highlights as having achieved break-even results, when you exclude the restructuring chargers.
- As expected the third quarter has continued to be challenging for Sony Ericsson. We have moved forward with our plans to align operations and resources with the consolidation of R&D facilities into a more agile and cost efficient organisational structure. As previously announced, our target remains to reduce operating expenses by Euro 300 million annually by the end of the second quarter 2009, with the full effects expected to appear in the second half of 2009. These plans are progressing in line with expectations, says Dick Komiyama, President at Sony Ericsson in a press release.
We are committed to executing our alignment plan as speedily as possible to ensure we have the right size and organisational structure to return the business to healthy profitability, he continues.

I’ve just finished writing a large-scaled preview of the new Sony Ericsson W595. I think it’s an excellent (music) phone at a very attractive price, but its camera is not exactly the most impressive I’ve seen.
I hope I can post a preview of the Sony Ericsson W902 as well tomorrow. Some of you might be thinking why only a preview and not a full review? Well, I’m hoping that I’ve got a wee surprise coming tomorrow that’ll take most of the already decreasing amount of spare time I’ve got. Trust me, it’s worth it.
I really hope Michell won’t kill me for posting such rubbish amateur compact camera pics (taken with the Casio Exilim Z77, my only camera). Buuuuuuut: I received a T700 today and just had to show it to you. So enjoy the pics if you can, I’m sure Michell will add a high quality DSLR gallery when he gets his.

We think it’s safe to say that Facebook has grown into being one of the largest and most commonly used online social communities. Every day, millions of people use Facebook to get in touch with friends and keep up with interests, videos and websites.
SE-NSE / USEB has been on Facebook for quite some time now, but we’ve never really promoted the Facebook group. Up until now, that is. We plan on making lots of changes, and actively taking part of social communities is definitely one of them.

Here’s a gallery of the new Sony Ericsson W595. I had actually also recorded a video preview of it and the W902, but I accidentally deleted the videos, so I cannot post any video previews today.
A series of pictures of the upcoming Kate Fillipa were leaked at CellPhoneSail just recently. This time, they’re not blurry and shows some nice details. Kate Fillipa is the successor of the K770. Its features include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and a xenon flash, HSDPA, quad-band GSM and the A2 software platform.
