Latest Rumours - BeiBei & Z780

Maximys over at semcblog has posted a picture of the upcoming design flip phone Z780. My guess that it’ll be the American version of the Z770. Rumoured specifications of the Z780 are very much like the Z770, including a 2 mega pixel fixed focus camera, QVGA display and it is based on the new A2 software platform.

In other news, more pictures of the upcoming BeiBei have been posted by the Chinese website yesky.com. It shows the new & enhanced user interface in UIQ 3.3, which is more finger friendly, and generally looks nicer.

I like the way the UI is finger optimized now. Its simple, clean, and effective, with a good theme and maybe even the odd app it could be very cool! Its great that SE have now made a move in that direction, theyve tweaked a different UI for UIQ 3.3 :D

Those are nice UI shots, it looks clean, fresh, and uncluttered. Hopefully it will be more responsive than previous versions of UIQ too.

I think UIQ 3.3 will have Demand Paging support. so it got to be more responsive.

Wait.. can anybody confirm that it really supports Demand Paging? :)

  4. insider says:

Very impressive, hoping UI will get more resonse than UIQ.

  6. Flamman says:

Since UIQ 3.3 uses Symbian 9.3 (which supports Demand Paging) it should be confirmed by these:

    http://www.uiq.com/platform_releases.html

I really hope the G900 will get an UIQ3.3 update.
But knowing SE they probably only release it with there new phones :(

  8. ares says:

g700 and g900 won´t have uiq 3.3, and there´s nothing wrong with that…the UI is already nice, according to previews, and it keeps them with cheap prices

on other hand…why are you so eager for demand paging??? if phones have alot of RAM, and since the P1 all new UIQ3 phones have huge loads of RAM, demand paging effects are meaningless…

  9. stuart says:

The UI is nice one,the previews are good.I think UIQ 3.3 will have Demand Paging support,so it got to be more responsive.
