Loading ...Idou to be released this October? For sure!
That’s right, folks. The Sony Ericsson Idou touchscreen-wielding 12MP snapper uber phone will be released this October (or November at the latest), as confirmed by Sony Ericsson’s german product manager Steffen Grosch. It’ll run on the new Symbian OS, which is based on Nokia’s S60 and Sony Ericsson’s UIQ. As many of you know it’ll be the first phone from the new Entertainment Unlimited series. The Idou will not only focus on music and imaging, but on games, social networking and video as well.
What’s curious, though, is that according to Gustaf Brusewitz from Sony Ericsson Sweden, it’ll be released “sometime in the second half of the year”. Well, that certainly doesn’t contradict the first statement, does it?

oooh no soo late…oct 2009 is too late, untill then many more mobiles will release….
Idou looks like a great phone but what takes so long for SE to come out with a cool phone. Samsung and LG have had their touchscreen phones out for over a year now.
By the time this is released there will be better things out I worry.

by that time, won’t other phone companies come up with something superior than Idou?

Das Idou wird bis dahin einen anderen Namen bekommen, Idou steht nur für die neue Produktreihe von Sony Ericsson, weitere Modelle sollen dann 2010 folgen. Das Idou wird das erste Smartphone sein, welches mit dem neuen Betriebssystem der Symbian Foundation auf den Markt kommt. But what about the optics, I dont give a dame about the new sensor. It seems to me that the “Idoue” has quit the same optics as C905….. Any people here how has different info ??
The idou sensor is a new one which support 12mpx and full hd camcorder. And what about others manufacturer uber phone if that one is better (I no that the n97 is unbeatable :s) and it’s not the first touch screen phone from SE they started it in 2002 (yes I love my g900 a great phone just lacky accelerometer edge, 3g+ and for that is don’t work with my sfr network)
