Have your say in creating Sony Ericsson’s social communications service
Yesterday we were contacted by Chris Norton from Wolfstart, a company that was recently appointed by Sony Ericsson to provide social media counsel. Chris told us that they were appointed to create a proper blog outreach campaign, and as a part of that, they’re looking to set up a so-called blogger resource centre for the upcoming X1, which will give bloggers and enthusiasts a place to go and get content on their X1. We were told that they’ve already got a pretty good idea of what to do, but they’d love some feedback and useful opinions on the subject from people “in the business”. Now, this is where you get into the picture.
If you’d take two minutes to take a short survey about what you’d like to see happening, your voice is likely to be heard and taken into consideration by Chris and his team at Wolfstar.
The survey is actually rather interesting, and already reveals quite a few of the details of the service, including images, YouTube videos, unboxings, hands-on demos, SE designer interviews, news, announcements, de.li.cious feeds, twitter, qik and alike for live events, as well as opportunities for bloggers to attend launches and webcasts. But there’s more - they’re also asking what you would like to see on the website! So, take the survey and have your say now!
Sounds like a dream come true? Yep, definitely does. You can take the survey right here!

Hi Michell, thanks for posting about the survey. We are all really excited about this and we want to hear what people really want this blogger resource to offer. We are going to look at all the suggestions included in the survey and hopefully create something that meets most people’s requirements.
My pleasure, Chris
Done~!
Yeah, I have completed the survey.
But I seem like it is a part of SE’s PR plan.
Some days ago, I have send some a link in this website to SE
I would like to see information on the Xperia X1 in regards to its full Interent capabailties in actual practice. Sure its great to know what its capable of, but a person taking a test run of it in actual situations would be a great selling point. You know, such as how well will it pick up wifi and the likes.
alright guys i just did this survey
tired se supporter:
But this kind of service is ALWAYS a part of PR. That’s not news and definitely not a big revelation.
Yes.. well.. I suppose the question is if there’s any interest in shuffling anything except headlines such as: “I am excited about the new X1, aren’t you!!!!elevenses11!!”, or “How Sony Ericsson changed my life with PlayNow! Join us, and free yourself from your limitations and fears! Join.. Join us… Join”.
Or, maybe the question is whether Chris will lose the commission if the reception of the campaign is less than stellar, and immediately turns the entire web into an SE fansite. Since, perhaps, that might be what the leadership expects.
Of course, I’m cautiously optimistic. Though the specific focus on the X1, rather than for example “new phones and new tech at this time” is a hint to, I suppose, at least something.
Good luck to you, though, Chris.
