Why didn’t you spill a bit water on the keypad if it’s splash proof?
You could pour water on every SE display without causing damage

Actually there is some water on the keypad, even though it’s not really obvious. I had it literally soaking before taking these photos, but I wanted a nice looking shot so removed some of the water
