Here we’ve got a rather nice little gallery of the cancelled Sony Ericsson G702, codenamed BeiBei, for you. This is - of course - a prototype, build AP 1.1. This gallery will also teach you a thing or two about how prototype boxes look, and what they contain. Only the most normal stuff, nothing fancy. Enjoy!
By the way… I’ll be taking a small vacation, and won’t be back till Thursday.

Why would they still develop prototype if it does not make it to the market ?
The article “Beibei and Paris Cancelled” has the answer to why it did not make to the market! And I think you should read about Prototypes.
but i thought paris and beibei could still be launch in asia and it’s only been cancelled for euro market. Cause i’ve always thought beibei could still find success in asian market.

Can’t say the same about Paris, but BeiBei did not deserve to be canceled in my opinion.
Hopefully there’s an upgraded version, just like with Hecaro.

ByeBye to BeiBei - very sad, as this handset looked VERY promising. At last a model with the beloved jog-dial and a modern UIQ interface.
imo beiebi is the best looking SE phone this year i think its nicer then the g700/g900 style wise then it was quadband too i hope they bring it back as the G705 hehe

but the design way off…too freaking ugly…only small amount of ppl might buy it if it launch which will rise SE looses more…SE make a good move to cancel beibei n paris…at least they can focus on x1, c905 n upcoming better model.

on the contrary, i thought the beibei has a good design. it may not be the best but i find it different and kinda cute. maybe the “spunk” is not there, but definitely not ugly. if it indeed it reaches the shore of some asian countries it could still pull a crowd
im sticking by what i was saying i still think bei bei was beautiful especially the red/white color scheme what i liked the most is the soft keys there were so many you could access anything you want with one touch, touch screen is nice but soft keys take you there automatically while with touch screen you have to browse some screens to get where you wanted to go.
hoping that SE would still reconsider BEIBEI to be made available in asian countries
