t650_new_red_colour.jpg

We’ve already got several T650 colour variants but an official photo of the IDC-24 fashion accessory shows that a red variant could be coming soon. This is destined to look good! Also, if you haven’t already, you can check out our review of the T650.

Also, W580 has been launched in a new green variant called Jungle Green. I don’t think it looks any great at all, but it might just be me.

The W380 has now also been launched in another colour variant with very little changes. This one is called Tangerine Black and is an exact copy of the Black Champagne variant with the exception of the Walkman logo on the front which is now orange and not golden.

t303_1.jpg

Sony Ericsson has just officially announced the Sony Ericsson T303 – the first slider in the T-series, which might come as a surprise to many. T303 is a low-end slider targeted at style-concious consumers.

- The T303 is a great addition to the Sony Ericsson T-line of products, combining premium finish and materials with a good feature-set to deliver ‘style with substance’, says Lykke Tærsbøl, Senior Designer at the Sony Ericsson Creative Design Centre in the press release.

T303’s housing is made of metal and has a chrome finish and the 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels is mirrored. T303 is a very small phone at only 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm and a weight of 93 grams.

T303 features a 1.3 mega pixel camera, an FM radio, the unique TrackID feature and Bluetooth. It is delivered with the Protective Case IDC-22, which is a part of Sony Ericsson’s fashion line of accessories.

It will be available in stores in mid 2008, and will come in two colours; Shimmering Silver and Shadow Black.

T68i – A Pioneer of its Time

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

dsc_0074.jpg

Ah the T68i … my favourite handset. Why discuss a seven year old handset, I hear you ask? Why not? The T68i was a pioneer in its day, introducing some of the features we now take for granted, and as a result it was ahead of its time. Even today the T68i is still a viable choice as a handset in my opinion. (more…)

Digitimes.com reports that Sony Ericsson outsources the production of their newest entry level handsets to Taiwan manufacturers.

Arima Communications will produce T270, T280 & R300, while Chi Mei Communication Systems is going to deliver the R306, their sources state.

Additional info given by digitimes:

Including the T270, 280, R300 and R306, Sony Ericsson is expected to launch a total of 5-6 entry-level handsets targeting emerging markets in 2008 with the company likely to outsource 1-2 more models to Arima and an additional model to CMCS during the year, the sources indicated.

Sony Ericsson purchased about 8.5 million handsets from Taiwan-based OEMs in 2007, according to an estimate of market sources.

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

Sony Ericsson is planning to do a product announcement in India at the 24th this month. Here they will announce two low-end phones with radio features. We’ve now got the exclusives on these phones. They will be named T270 and T280, and will as said both be featuring a built-in radio. Furthermore they’ll both have Bluetooth support, a 128 x 160 pixels display and a thickness of 14 millimetres. The T280 will feature a simple camera, while T270 won’t feature any. Design is very much like T250 with the exception of the colour scheme. The top part of the phone will differ from the bottom part, that remains in a metallic colour on the T270, while the T280 will have a black bottom part and a rather dark metallic upper part. The T270’s upper part will be brown.
