Sony Ericsson today silently announced the W580im - the i-mode version of the slim W580 Walkman phone, that has been extremely popular in many European countries. The new W580im won’t bring much news apart from the usual i-mode features, that includes an i-mode web browser, iMMS and iMail. Furthermore, the phone supports DoJa, which is a platform for running applications and games.

The W580im was announced in a Style White colour edition - it is yet uncertain whether more colour editions are to be released.

Sony Ericsson will soon be announced a special gold/pink edition T650. It will in fact be 24 carats gold used. All specifications remain the same. I think it looks pretty good, but girly The colour variant is called Precious Gold.

This phone is MENA exclusive (Middle East and North Africa).

Just read that Sony Ericsson in Hong Kong is now teaming up with Sanrio, which means that characters such as Hello Kitty and My Little Melody will be used in Sony Ericsson phones bought in the holiday season. The phones will come preloaded with Sanrio content and they’ll also come with a special phone cradle. Plus, there’s also an opportunity to win a 85 centimeter tall stuffed Hello Kitty doll. Could this get any better? Well, personally I’m not a fan of Hello Kitty, so YES!

Here is a picture of the upcoming Diesel “Fifty Five DSL” edition Z320 from Sony Ericsson. It’ll have a special geometrical look, and a grayish color. It looks rather nice, I think, and could be the beginning of a deal between Sony Ericsson and Diesel.
