Here are some pictures of the Japanese Sony Ericsson SO905iCS Cyber-shot phone, that will be announced as a part of DoCoMo’s new 905i lineup of phones.
SO905iCS will feature a 5.1 megapixel CCD camera with auto focus and Cyber-shot branding. Furthermore it’ll have a 3x optical zoom (4.5 - 13.5 mm). It’ll also have a xenon flash, something looking like face recognition and I must say it looks like a real camera!!
It’ll measure 113 x 50 x 24 mm, and will weigh 150 grams. So it’s still pretty big. Furthermore it’ll have a WVGA screen with a diagonal of 2.7 inches! Crazy…. Why don’t Sony Ericsson in Europe ever announce something like this?
It’ll be available in a black/silver variant, a pink variant and a white/beige variant. Read on for more pictures of the phone.

The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog has gotten some exclusive info about upcoming Sony Ericsson smartphones that are to be announced at the announcement in November. According to our sources there will be 3 smartphones getting announced - one iPhone competitor, one ultra high-end smartphone and lastly a mid-to-low-end smartphone.
The iPhone competitor, so to speak, is codenamed Maria, and the focus will be on media features as well as ease of use and a good, solid user interface.
The ultra high-end smartphone has been known by the name P3i, but this will not be the final product name. P3i will be a smartphone that simply has everything, and it will possibly run UIQ 4.0 - definitely not UIQ 3.0, so either 3.2 or a completely new version. P3i will have a great screen and as I said pretty much all features - this will be a direct hit at Nokia’s N95 8GB and E90.
The last smartphone to be unveiled is a mid-to-low-end smartphone, that most likely, is going to be named P600. It won’t feature any ‘great’ features - preferably a QVGA touch screen and a simple 2 megapixel camera.

These new W890i (a.k.a. T921i) pictures have been spotted at a Polish auction site. Yet again here are the specifications; 3.2 mega pixels camera (don’t know if it has auto focus), Walkman 3.0, A200 UI, Bluetooth and 3(.5?)G. And of course, it’s thin - 9.6 millimeters. This variant will be called “Pitch Black” (black front, brown back). Below are a few pictures.

Club-SE.pl has apparently gotten their hands on the unannounced W890i, and have done a small review of the phone (in Polish, that is!). This review gives us a few new details about the phone. According to the poster, the depth of the phone will be only 9.6 mm (against the 9.4 mm in W880), and not the 12 mm said earlier. Also the screen is now a 2.0 inch screen with QVGA resolution. From what I understand of the review, W890 has excellent 3D graphics capabilities (must be because of JP-8). Furthermore it mentions something about TV, but I don’t know what it means. If somebody out there, who understands the review, is reading this, please leave a comment!
Here’s the link for the Polish review.

I’m finally back from Prague after 5 lovely days of low prices and bulging meals. But enough about Prague, let’s get back to Sony Ericsson! Here’s a short recap of the week.
Sony Ericsson Z320 and Z750 have both been approved by FCC, and will soon be available. As far as I know Z750 will be available for the American market only, while Z320 will come in both an American version as well as an international version.
Sony Ericsson Developer World has set up a competition to get more tutorials, guides and such in their Wiki. This time you can win a new Sony Ericsson W910 by writing a article about the new JP8 and the JSRs in it. Check the official site for more info.
Pictures of an unknown W880 successor have been on surfacing the web lately. It’s reportedly a 12 mm Walkman phone with a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and Walkman Player 3.0. Specification wise it looks a lot like the K770, and makes use of the same, new menu interface. You can find pictures of it here!
The Havanna range of phones, which I did a post about earlier on, has now officially been announced. The same has the V640, which is a non-Walkman branded music phone exclusively for Vodafone with HSDPA.
Last but not least it seems that Sony Ericsson could be working on a new concept, which pretty much is a sliding touchscreen, that can work as both navigation keys and a small / large screen depending on what one uses it for.

It looks like the FCC has got some pictures of a upcoming Sony Ericsson phone for the American market (850 / 1900 MHz). According to the images it will be called K205a, and it sports a camera on the back, which I’m sure is a VGA camera. It somehow reminds me of some spy pictures we’ve seen earlier on at SE-NSE of a unknown low-end K-series phone. Although the name is very close to the K200, it definitely doesn’t look like it. To me the back looks a bit like the old P800. It looks interesting, and could be one of the phones from Sony Ericsson with the Sagem user interface.
