Today we received the new Sony Ericsson C905. It comes in a pretty standard piano black box with “8.1 megapixel” printed on it. It’s pretty obvious that Sony Ericsson wants to compete against its competitors with what is technically speaking a false statement, but let’s not go into details about that now.
When you get the C905 in your hand for the very first time, you get a feel of quality. The rubberized backside feels exquisite, and the sliding mechanism really is top notch. Fortunately, some might add, as it would have been an utter disaster had it not been. Continue reading “We’ve tried Sony Ericsson’s sharp-shooting C905″
Here’s our 12-minute video preview of the drool-worthy XPERIA X1. In the video, we’re covering the design and feel of the phone, boot-up, the XPERIA panels, camera and briefly the two web browsers, Opera Mobile and Mobile Internet Explorer. We hope you enjoy the video, as it was straight-up painful to upload (almost 300 megabytes) - this one is not going on YouTube, that’s for sure! At least not today. Keep in mind this is a prototype, although it seems in a stage awfully near retail.
Our Sony Ericsson W902 preview has just been published, and brings along a few changes in our upcoming reviews and previews. First and foremost - larger images! We’ve now taken the step to publish 700 pixel wide images within reviews and previews. Hopefully this will mean that you’ll be able to see all the details. Secondly, we’ll be starting to use real phone screenshots, whether it’s a feature phone or a smart phone. In some rare cases, though, you’ll still have to cope with high quality images of the phone’s display. I’m sure you’ve also noticed some of our high-definition videos here at USEB. Well, we’ll start implementing more and more of these into reviews and previews in the future.
I’ve just finished writing a large-scaled preview of the new Sony Ericsson W595. I think it’s an excellent (music) phone at a very attractive price, but its camera is not exactly the most impressive I’ve seen.
I hope I can post a preview of the Sony Ericsson W902 as well tomorrow. Some of you might be thinking why only a preview and not a full review? Well, I’m hoping that I’ve got a wee surprise coming tomorrow that’ll take most of the already decreasing amount of spare time I’ve got. Trust me, it’s worth it.
Here’s a 3-minute video preview of the new Sony Ericsson W595, briefly showcasing its design, menus, camera, Walkman player and the special music quiz game. Enjoy!
