Heard of the Sony tablets? We are not going to discuss anything about the tablets here, but I guess you noticed the names,Tablet S and Tablet P. It looks like since the the take over of Sony Ericsson, Sony decided to follow the same single alphabet naming procedure with their smartphones as well. The first Sony Xperia was named Xperia S (release in March 2012). There are rumors about ST25i ‘Kumquat‘ to get the name Xperia U and now we have another. This time it is LT22i ‘Nypon’.
Details emerge from the same source; and that is the Indonesian Telecoms Regulatory body. They claim that the LT22i Nypon will be called Xperia P on release.
LT22i ‘Nypon’ details:

More pictures of apparent LT26 are out. This one on the right is particularly interesting, as it shows Nozomi with ICS (judging by the lockscreen), with recognizable Xperia UI colours, opposite of last information stating that ICS will come to SE devices skinless.
Other than that, cropped specs on the side suggest that it will have dual-core processor, and cropped title could as well be ” Xperia Cloud”.
Next leak is all about specs:
1.5 Ghz dual-core processor
1Gb RAM, 32Gb ROM
4.3″ Reality display with Mobile Bravia engine, but this time HD resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels.
Whopping 12 megapixel Exmor R camera, with 1080p full HD video recording
720p HD front-facing camera
1750 mAh battery
Date of official announcement? Probably between 10 and 13 January, as that’s when the 2012 CES is holding up, and we traditionally expect reveal of the next Xperia flagship phone right on those three days.

Some time ago at&t said that their version of the Xperia Play, the Xperia Play 4G, will come to the company later this year, but now the company confirmed that it will come on 18th of September.
The Xperia Play 4G (it’s compatible with AT&T’s 21MBps HSPA+ 4G network) will come for an upfront cost of $49.99 on a two-year contract.
Other than the different radio it will also come in a new color called Stealth Blue.
Plus it seems as if buyers will also get the DK300 Multimedia Dock and MC100 music cable with the Play 4G, which doesn’t sound like a bad deal.
It will also come with seven preloaded games including Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, Star Battalion, Madden NFL 11, The Sims 3, Tower Bloxx: My City and Crash Bandicoot.
And it’s the first 4G device from Sony Ericsson.

The Xperia Mini Pro comes with two covers, the white model comes with a pink cover and the black model comes with a turquoise cover.
But some regions get more in the box like others. For example some come with screen protectors and some not.
Here’s the unboxing:

Xperia Ray is a 3.3 inch smartphone with Android 2.3, 854 x 480 display powered by Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA engine and an 8.1MP camera with the Exmor R lens, just like the Xperia Arc. Play have this on pre-order for £349.99, and all being well will be released on 15 August 2011.

Xperia Active has a 3 inch touch screen, the usual 4 corned layout as used in the Xperia Mini’s, and also has a 5MP HD camera. Play has this phone on pre-order for £229.99 and should be released on 09 September 2011. Also, the lucky chaps at S-First.com managed to get hold of a Xperia Active, and here’s a video with what they done with it.
According to engadget it started shipping today.

Today the Xperia Neo was launched via several sites for the UK. As we all know, it was delayed until June, but noone really had a date set for the release.
Prices start from a pretty reasonable £329.99 (Play.com), or to the original starting price of £369.99 (se-store, who still have the phone listed as pre-order, though we hope they will update this soon). As for those who would prefer to buy their phone from a counter, rather than a website, I popped into Phones4U (Winchester branch) yesterday and they hadn’t heard of the Xperia Neo, and I was greeted with pretty much the same response from the Carphone Warehouse (Eastleigh branch), but Carphone Warehouse did admit that their store doesn’t get informed of what phones are coming out their way until they have arrived.
Actually, I have just found Neo on The Carphone Warehouse website, priced at £345.95 SIM free: http://www.carphonew…RIC-XPERIA-NEO/
