After the exclusive release of Minecraft pocket for XPERIA PLAY the Minecraft and Sony Ericsson fans can be happy again: Sony-Ericsson-Shop.de sells special designed XPERIA PLAY’s with Minecraft covers. Furthermore it includes another fan-toy: Steve’s Minecraft head – popular from gamescom 2011. But there is something that is special, too: Its price. While the cheapest price for a SIM- and branding-free PLAY is around 277€ (in Germany) the Minecraft version costs 299€.
The Xperia Play 4G is now available in the US with at&t. Aaron from PhonDog got his hands on one to show what’s in the box and what the device with the new color looks like.
Some time ago at&t said that their version of the Xperia Play, the Xperia Play 4G, will come to the company later this year, but now the company confirmed that it will come on 18th of September.
The Xperia Play 4G (it’s compatible with AT&T’s 21MBps HSPA+ 4G network) will come for an upfront cost of $49.99 on a two-year contract. Other than the different radio it will also come in a new color called Stealth Blue. Plus it seems as if buyers will also get the DK300 Multimedia Dock and MC100 music cable with the Play 4G, which doesn’t sound like a bad deal.
It will also come with seven preloaded games including Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, Star Battalion, Madden NFL 11, The Sims 3, Tower Bloxx: My City and Crash Bandicoot.
The guys from se-first.com got their hands on the new Xperia Arc S and made a hands on video to show how the device works and which new features it will bring. All the new features will come to the other 2011 Xperias later this year, as we mentioned it in earlier blog posts.
With all the spotlight on the Android phones, its a bit refreshing to finally see something on the (practically forgotten) Symbian devices. As Krazy D posted about the Vivaz Pink a while back, this time Sony Ericsson Product Manager- Maiko Ishida discusses the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, and the introduction of the Vivaz Pink to the Vivaz family on the Sony Ericsson ProductBlog Channel.
Remember that third mysterious colour we mentioned in our review of the C510? Well, we did say it would be white and red. So, it’s not such a big deal, actually. And yes, it is now official. Doesn’t this colour combination remind you of Mirror’s Edge, somehow?
Anyway, just to freshen your memory, the C510 is a mid-range cyber-shot cameraphone with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Photo flash, face and smile detection, a cool lens cover, an accelerometer and other stuff. For a complete list visit Sony Ericsson’s web page.
We all agree that the black one’s a beauty. Now Pictures of a silver colored Idou have surfaced. And of course, we certainly don’t mind the additional color option.
Just in case you’ve been living in a cave all this while, we’d like to tell you that the Sony Ericsson Idou is a full touch screen phone featuring a 12 megapixel camera. It will be available by the end of this year and according to a recent rumor, it should be out by October. Hit the link below to view more live pics of the Idou in silver.
Remember that spy pic of a supposed new colour version of the W705? Well now there’s more of them. Lots more.
Just follow the source link to see some more live photos of this beauty.
What you’re seeing on the left is the new Cosmopolitan Flower Edition of the W595. As you can see, it’s identical to the Cosmopolitan White W595, save for the flowery accents. It also has a flowery theme. And some flowery “beautiful” songs on-board. But wait, there’s more! It’ll also come with a small charm and a soft pouch, in addition to the standard in-box content. Turns out it’s not as identical as we’ve thought.
Sources say it’ll be available to select Western European countries from March. Oh, goodie!
It seems there’ll be another choice of colour if you’re planning on getting a Sony Ericsson C510. In a review of the Nokia 6303, Mobile-review editor-in-chief Eldar Murtazin posted two comparison pictures with the 6303 and the C510 in white/red trim. This colour variant looks rather smashing, if I might add, and I sure wouldn’t mind getting one (my address is available upon request, if anyone feels generous)!
You can find the original pictures in the review right over here. They’re located somewhat close to the bottom of the review. Eldar will have a few things to say about the C510, I’m sure, and whatever it is, it’s written in Russian – haven’t bothered translating it yet, so I can’t say what it is exactly, although, following his trends, I’m fairly sure it won’t be jolly good.
By the way, the picture above consists of parts of the two mentioned pictures. Since this is a blog about Sony Ericsson and all, I thought you wouldn’t be interested in viewing pictures of other devices, so I took liberty of merging the two pictures. As said, you’ll find the original pictures at the link above.
