Following on from their recent post demoing streaming video services on the Sony Ericsson X10 the Sony Ericsson product blog has posted up a nice video demo of uploading videos to YouTube directly from the handset. It’s not rocket science of course and most of you will not need to be told how to upload a video, but it’s useful or less experienced users and it’s always nice to see the X10 in action again.

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Huge Xperia X10 Preview – Live Pics & Videos
Monday, November 16th, 2009![]()
Our good friend rog has posted a huge preview of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 over at se-first.com.
The preview offers videos of Timescape, Mediascape, e-mail client, browser, messaging and camera application in action as well as a plethora of live images!
Here’s a snippet of the article:
Let’s start with some facts and figures. The X10 sports (among a lot of others) the following main-features:
Android 1.6 (Donut)
WVGA screen (480 x 854)
Scratch resistant, 4 inches, capacitive TFT touchsreen
Size: 119 x 63 x 13 mm, 135 grams
1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor
Sony Ericsson Timescape™ & Mediascape™ User Interface2
HSPA
8 Megapixel camera with touchfocus, multipoint-focus, automatic scene detection, smile detection
WVGA video recording
Face recognition on pictures
aGPS
Exchange ActiveSync
3.5mm headset jack, miniUSB connector
1500mAh battery
……….
Let’s get into details a bit more, our first video gives you some impressions of the Xperia X10’s look, which hopefully gives you some better feeling of the Android device (for best quality, watch it in HD!):
……….
Next thing: let’s have a look at the newly introduced concept of Timescape™ and Mediascape™, which basically represents Sony Ericsson’s customization of the Android UI.
……….
What can we say about XPERIA X10 at the current stage? Well… It is definitely fun to use, the huge screen displays every content in a brilliant way, the capacitive screen is responsive, and once the firmware gets into a more final state, the phone for sure will also be more fluent in the usage. A glimps on the power that is hidden under the hood is very noticable already now in the browser, which is ultra-fast.
Sony Ericsson’s approach of including a wide area of social networks and tearing down the borders between those services in such a forceful way is certainly something new in the mobile phone area. A little doubt remains though: will the average (and even the above-average) user really make complete use of all the features that the X10 offers?

The preview is excellent and the phone is looking great, probably the most responsive we’ve seen it performing so far. So head on over to se-first.com to read the full article as well as another two videos and of course loads of live photos.
Cheers rog!

More Extensive Hands On With Xperia x10
Saturday, November 14th, 2009This video is quite a few days old now but I hadn’t come across it until today for some reason. There’s 8 mins & 31 seconds of airtime for the X10 and it’s UX Platforum interface this time. While it’s still a little jerky in places it’s definitely more responsive than the builds we saw in earlier videos.

More Hands-on with The Xperia X10
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009Never mind that Kurara, here’s more of what’s REALLY interesting from Sony Ericsson…the X10. This is another hands-on video showing a prototype X10 which is still rather laggy though perhaps performing better than that shown to engadget.
We can only hope that the final versions will run as smooth as silk like the concept videos promise.
Head over to GSMArena to see their full X10 preview .

Some Attention for the X2
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009The chaps over at Pocket-lint have posted up a very nice gallery of hands-on shots of the X2. The X2 has been somewhat overlooked given the growing excitement that’s building up around Rachael so it’s nice to see it getting some attention. Head on over to Pocket-lint to see the rest of the gallery and check out what they thought of it.
Youserbase previews the Satio and the Aino
Friday, August 7th, 2009And it’s on video! Yes, I know you guys love these kinds of hands-on sessions where you can just sit back and enjoy the influx of information from the live action video in front of you, as opposed to staring at sets of characters for half an hour. Your only grudge could be the reviewer’s diction in the form of various obscure accents. Now this guy is at least trying. I applaud you, reviewer guy!
The multi-part previews are just after the break. (more…)
New Satio hands-on video
Friday, June 26th, 2009Here’s another interesting watch. Shows the interface quite in detail. Mind the French.
Runs pretty smooth, eh? Thanks, review guy!

Satio hands-on at ePrice
Monday, June 1st, 2009
Naturally, most of us can’t understand a word in Chinese, so just head on over to the site to see some pretty photos of the Satio’s many colours (or 3, to be more precise) and its interface in action. Still action.
Nah, kidding, there are also 3 videos (coincidence? I think not!).
Generally I think that the interface transitions are much smoother this time around. You’ve got to wonder why does it always lag at those conferences? And how the hell did ePrice manage to get a hold of the Satio? We may never know.
So, what was I saying? Ah, yes, click on the link below. Like, now.
Mobiwoo posts impressions from the London event
Friday, May 29th, 2009
One of the lads from our affiliate site, mobiwoo, that attended the London even on the 28th has posted a rather lenghty article, describing his experience at the press conference and saying what he thinks about the newly-announced phones, namely Satio, Aino and Yari. It makes for quite an interesting read, if you’re into these three phones. Hit the source link for the article.

Mobiwoo manages to snap some photos of the new phones
Friday, May 29th, 2009
Our pals over at our new affiliate site, Mobiwoo, were also attending the London event yesterday. So they had a play with all 3 handsets – namely the Satio, the Aino and the Yari – and took some photos as well. Hit the links below to see what I’m talking about.

PS. We’re told that they also managed to take a few videos and will be uploading them soon, so stay tuned.
