USEB Exclusive: Beibei Demo Tour
We just got our hands on the Demo Tour from the brand new Sony Ericsson device ‘Beibei’.
Linda has been a known codename for quite some time now, but until now we really haven’t had any phones to match with the codename. Now, a bunch of photos of the upcoming W595 - W580 successor - leaked on Journaldugeek.
The Sony Ericsson G700 is Sony Ericsson’s cheapest smart phone to date, and probably also the last Sony Ericsson phone to be making use of the UIQ user interface. It’s not necessarily marketed as being a smart phone, but rather being a smart feature phone.
Sony Ericsson recently selected Swedish mobile games developer and publisher GlobalFun as one of its two official content acquisition partner for the upcoming PlayNow Arena and Fun & Downloads services.
The T610 was one of Sony Ericsson’s first smash hits, and many will argue that this single phone model marked a turning point for the company. Five years after its release, it looks like Sony Ericsson is about ready with a remake of this ever-popular handset.
The G900 and its sibling, G700, represent a new kind of Sony Ericsson smart phone products, that don’t look or feel like a smart phone, yet perform and deliver as one would expect a smart phone to do. These G’s are targeted at the normal everyday consumer, who wants a little extra something from his phone, while still keeping the price low.

Sony Ericsson has just released a set of new demo tours. This means that the total demo tour portfolio now includes the tough C702, the stylish personal organiser G700 and the multifunctional G900. This also means that these phones are about ready to be shipped. Once again - it’s impossible not to be impressed by Sony Ericsson’s remarkable skills when it comes to these videos… wow.
The C702 features a built-in GPS used for geotagging your 3.2 mega pixel camera snaps, as well as finding your way in the city with Google Maps and WayFinder.
C902 is C702’s big brother, and it features a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and face recognition, as well as lots of other exciting features. All this in a slim phone.
G700 is your ever-trusty personal organiser with a simple 3 mega pixel camera with fixed focus, a graphically impressive user interface, and a very compact format.
G900 is the absolute flagship of Sony Ericsson’s smart phones at the moment. It features a 5 mega pixel camera with selective touch focus (hot!), the same impressive user interface as G700 and in a similar compact format.
By the way - my next shipment of review phones will include the C902, G900 and W760. I’m hoping to get these within a few weeks, so I’ll have plenty of free time to review them.

Some days ago a comment was posted here about P1 now being available with a Bluetooth GPS in India. Today I found a picture of an advert in a news paper in India at Esato.com. The pricing is Rs 22.995 (580 USD) with the GPS and 20.995 (510 USD) without the GPS. I can’t seem to find a currency converter, so if someone can, please let me know about this Thanks, Suresh! ![]()

The new Sony Ericsson P1 comes bundled with a Bluetooth GPS from Wayfinder and the software (Wayfinder Navigator 7) is pre installed when buying the phone. Included is a 1-year subscription to the service. All you have to do is activate the service, and you should be ready to go!
Earlier today Wayfinder said, that they’d received to gigantic orders for GPS units and navigation software. Reportedly, it was an order from a “big mobile manufacturer” - Sony Ericsson, as we’ve just found out.
This makes the P1 be more like the N95, and I’m seriously considering getting the P1, too, along with my N95 and P990. Should be a nice little family, don’t you think? Well, I should be getting a test unit soon, so will see if it’s something for me
By the way, this is for selected markets only.
