Bad News

Unfortunately, Sony Ericsson yet again, didn’t show up as a phone in NTT DoCoMo’s summer collection (see above image).  It’s safe to say that Sony Ericsson is taking a long break from DoCoMo.  As usual, they aren’t included in Softbank’s summer collection either.

It isn’t all bad news though.  We are still waiting for KDDI’s summer collection (that’s if they are releasing one), which contains that mysterious maybe-Xperia SOX01.  And it’s not like Sony Ericsson hasn’t produced Japanese phones lately, in fact, they’ve recently released the iida G9 (see below image).

I think that Sony Ericsson for DoCoMo will not release until LTE Begins in Japan. Except Smart Phone like Xperia or Idou. Now, Their team for Docomo is making Phones for Overseas such as a Idou.

It is rumour that there is no Phone from Sony Ericsson for KDDI’s summer collection. Because They released 4 phones for KDDI within few months . but Android? and SOX01 is iida G9 by Sony Ericsson for KDDI.

I thought so.  Anyway, no matter how you think of it, Sony Ericsson in Japan is at the moment pretty much nearing the end of it’s lifeline.  Unless Sony Ericsson manages to pull together an amazing device, it’s really hard for them to catch up.  Sharp Mobile has so much momentum right now, even exisiting competitors like Panasonic are starting to run dry.
