While most companies are working on developing Android 2.2 (Froyo) updates for their respective phones. Sony Ericsson should have Android 2.1 ready before the end of September according to a tweet made by the SonyEricssonUK twitter account …
Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt seeing as Sony Ericsson have a reputation for delaying products and firmware updates. Plus, it doesn’t suggest whether all the phones will get the update (by the end of September) or a single phone like the X10. We can only hope that at the end of this long wait, the firmwares are stable ….

They said Sept quite a while ago so it’s at least concurrent with that but then again they are so far behind everyone else it’s hardly an achievement
I agree. Right now I’m thinking towards the future phone releases.
Will they have the cheek to leave out multi touch again?
Will they only release devices as 2.1 only to let everyone wait for 2.2 when 3.1 or 3.2 is coming out.
Crazy statements but its more fun thinking how ridiculous SE will be rather than whether they will act like a company that sells cutting edge devices or what the consumer market wants. :/
Xperia X10 will support multi touch function when just it is updated to Android 2.1 or after.
Reason? please remember their “divulgation”.

I guess Xperia X10 isn’t upgradeable to more than Android 2.2(Froyo), upto 2.1.
If they have long time to implement 2.1 into Xperia X10, they should develop next Xperia X11 or something with GB(3.0).
It won’t
