Sony Ericsson has just sent me a list of their Christmas gift tips of the year. The list the following phone gifts includes:

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 – Flagship phone of the year, combining both work and entertainment with the unique panel solution and large touch-sensitive display. Read our large review of the XPERIA X1 here!

Sony Ericsson C905 – Camera flagship phone of the year, with what’s probably the best mobile camera right now and a variety of advanced features.

Sony Ericsson W595 – Music slider with stereo speakers, a youth-appealing design and an excellent price. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that it’s going to end up under many Christmas trees this year. Read our preview of the W595 here!

It’s not all about phones though, and the list includes some accessories as well, all featuring Bluetooth:

Sony Ericsson MBW-200 – Cool Bluetooth watch for the female audience that will vibrate upon messages and calls, and also enabling you to perform simple actions on your phone via Bluetooth.

Sony Ericsson HBH-PV-715 / 720 / 740 – Sony Ericsson’s most advanced Bluetooth headsets yet that are bound to impress both technically and visually.

Sony Ericsson MBS-200 – Wireless Bluetooth speaker with a small OLED display to show song information. A 3.5 mm jack input makes it possible to use this speaker on a standard wired connection as well.

Video: Snapping with the C905

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

This is just a short experimental video featuring the C905 and some upclose macro shots that should come in handy in the future. Basically, it’s a sneak peak of what we’ll be able to do from now on, and I thought I’d add the C905 to gain some attention. Let us know what you think!

We haven’t got any details as to when we’ll post a review of the C905, but we’re hoping to do so this month. We’ve also got a rather nice comparison coming up soon. Here’s a hint of what it’s about:

By the way, we’re closing in on a total of 36,000 views for our videos at Blip.tv – thanks for all the views, hopefully you didn’t regret pressing the play-button :)

Sony Ericsson G705 Reviewed

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

The folks at GsmArena have just published a comprehensive review of the Sony Ericsson G705. Here’s what they had to say:

Guts to stand up to smartphones and utterly self-effacing looks is a nice little twist we guess. It’s like the G705 is there saying “Misjudge me, be my guest”.

Yes, with a feature set like that, looks are the last thing it needs to boost self-esteem. Actually, if that’s how midrange spec sheets are shaping, we dare not imagine what better treats future top devices hold in stock for us. If nothing else, Sony Ericsson G705 deserves credit for pioneering the shift.

It seems Sony Ericsson do have a winner here.

Sony Ericsson Brand Themes

Monday, December 1st, 2008

It’s Sunday night / Monday morning, depending where you are in the world. Though I’m in the UK, so that makes Sunday’s themes a little late this week. Sorry.

This week we’re going to focus on brands. We all have a favorite, what’s yours? Two of my personal favorites are Apple and Innocent drinks. I’ve picked out 6 themes that I think you’ll like, including Walkman, Nike and Firefox.
