This is going to be a short one, we just wanted to post the high quality JavaOne video - you know, the one with the unknown, unannounced, mysterious THREE-way slider smartphone, that’s supposedly going to be launched this year, according to Sony Ericsson’s Rikko Sakaguchi? Yes, you remember? Well, great! Here’s the high quality video - don’t forget to press “High Quality” on YouTube for the very best of the best. Well, sort of… Thanks, Xell!
According to Danish and Swedish mobile magazine Mobil, Sony Ericsson’s long awaited PlayNow Arena service will launch in Nordic countries this Monday. The service has been postponed quite some time, but it should be ready on Monday. The prime focus of the PlayNow Arena store will naturally be music, and Sony Ericsson will have one million songs ready for customers in the Nordic countries on Monday, with no less than four million songs in the pipeline. The best part, however, is that all the songs will be free of any DRM protection, so you can copy your songs unrestrictedly, which can be very useful if you get a new phone, computer, etc. Continue reading “PlayNow Arena set to launch on Monday!”
So it finally was announced: The T-Mobile branded Z780a, dubbed TM506. We blogged about it back in June, now almost all links on the official website work. All except the actual product page which is supposed to be here — maybe it’s up later.
Yesterday we were contacted by Chris Norton from Wolfstart, a company that was recently appointed by Sony Ericsson to provide social media counsel. Chris told us that they were appointed to create a proper blog outreach campaign, and as a part of that, they’re looking to set up a so-called blogger resource centre for the upcoming X1, which will give bloggers and enthusiasts a place to go and get content on their X1. We were told that they’ve already got a pretty good idea of what to do, but they’d love some feedback and useful opinions on the subject from people “in the business”. Now, this is where you get into the picture.
If you’d take two minutes to take a short survey about what you’d like to see happening, your voice is likely to be heard and taken into consideration by Chris and his team at Wolfstar.
The survey is actually rather interesting, and already reveals quite a few of the details of the service, including images, YouTube videos, unboxings, hands-on demos, SE designer interviews, news, announcements, de.li.cious feeds, twitter, qik and alike for live events, as well as opportunities for bloggers to attend launches and webcasts. But there’s more - they’re also asking what you would like to see on the website! So, take the survey and have your say now!
