New firmwares out for K660, W890, W910, Z750 & Z770

Sony Ericsson just recently launched a new firmware for the K660, W890, W910, Z750 and Z770. This one is called R1FA030, and is available on Sony Ericsson Update Service.
As of this moment, I’ve only heard feedback from W910 users, but the user feedback so far is quite good, and reports say that the device generally feels faster after the update, especially in the Media menu even with great amounts of files. I’d be surprised if this doesn’t go for the rest of the phones as well. Other than, Sony Ericsson apparently did some fixing on the rather buggy video playing, and the phones should now be a lot better at playing videos. An option to update the media library has also been added to the Media menu.
Let’s hope the rest of the A2 phones will get their firmwares updated soon as well!

Your so funny. =) Interesting colour choice…
4:03 am on 6/6/08It detects that I have a w890, sits at 0% updated for 10 seconds, and then says “update failed, start again”. Any ideas? I really would like this newer fw. Thanks.
4:11 am on 6/6/08i didnt notice the color till now :-D, will be nice to see a whole matching theme for that one…

Well, did you try again? Usually it’s a matter of computer ports, when that happens, so shut down the computer (and phone), and boot up the computer to try again.
About the W890….
Admittedly, this picture is merely a photoshop, as I don’t have any pictures of it yet…

7:05 am on 6/6/08Crap, I tried updating my Z770 but SEUS says that my phone is already up-to-date. It’s sim-free, by the way.
Anyone can give me ideas on what else I can use to update my phone?
Oh, and Mizzle, in the future, will phones like the Z770, K660 and others have the feature to change the menu layouts?
Thanks.
10:43 am on 6/6/08Still nothing for k850 :/ … I lost my hopes … :/

12:44 am on 6/7/08Yeah, tried numerous times. Searched through the esato forums, found ppl saying to disable firewall and antivirus, tried that, rebooted once or twice, tried everything i could think of. Nothing. Sucks. My fw is SOO slow when playing music, and when playing thru bluetooth, i am forced to stop the music to do anything on the phone.
hey, using the >*<<*<* in software info sasy R1CA039
8:43 am on 6/18/08i checked over at google and says that there are like 10 updates after that
one, so i instaled SEUS but it says that my cellphone has the latest firmware
so there is no need to install anything
can someone help me, my cellphone its a Z750i
The update cause battery discharge more faster … for ex. in normal circumstances it will last only 1 day and half … maybe 2 if you speak with noone
before the update it last 4-5 days before refill.
That was tested on my mobile K660i … it is more faster but battery last 50% less than on original firmaware

I’ve upgraded my z750i firmware to R1FA030. After the update, i can’t open my googleMap. It shows an error msg:”Error: darken_image…”. Does anyone knows how to solve this problem?
Any help would be appreciated. THanks!
