C902 Shoot-out In Berlin

So, I think we promised you some photo samples from the C902. It is without doubt the best camera phone by Sony Ericsson yet, and the beta software is quite good in terms of sharpness, although we’d like a bit more saturated photos as well as less photo noise. Apart from that, these are very good photos by a pre-production unit. Press the thumbnails for full-size versions.

    i see a lot of compression and noise, is it because of the pre-production unit?

    No its becasue its a small sensor and too many megapixels to cope.

    IMHO … think the same :/ K850i makes better one :D Anyway i`m still waiting for that New FW … I hope it will be lunched soon …

    Partly. Quite a lot of the noise will stay in production units.

    Well, not really. This is pre-production software, and the scenes were far from optimal for taking photos. Anyway, the C902 generally has a lot more details in its photos than the K850. The colours are still off, and I’m not liking the colour fringing either, but apart from that, it’s pretty good.

    I`m waiting for driver (no matter what phone) which makes red RED not PINK … Maybe R3 will bring it ? … I hope … IF of course R3 will be released for k850i …

    R3xxxxx will definitely be released, as I’ve said all along. And yes, it’ll pretty much be the same version number (like W890 and W890 use the same firmware revision, although it’s slightly different).

    WOW i was looking at that second picture like what the hell is that? not realizing it was sideways haha i thought that was like some parallel universe or something :D anyway the pics do have alot of noise but hell it’s a pre-production unit so we can’t jump to conclusions.

    Thank Michell, i have a w810 and the photos have a lot less noise than these of the c902, dunno if is worth more megapixels but with more noise, anyway, i’ve just found your site and will be checking it to see when you get a final unit, great blog!! ;)
