I just saw that Johan from Sony Ericsson’s Developer World has posted a post including this very video of Sony Ericsson at the JavaOne conference a few days ago. The video is basically an interview of Christopher David, who’s responsible for the long-term platform planning Java. Check out the video, where Christopher talks about the new Mobile Services Architecture (MSA), as well as the new Project Capuchin. If you’re not in it for the developer talk, then have a look anyway - most of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming phones, such as C702, C902, G700, G900 and W980, are also featured in this video. If you’re a bit sentimental, you might also want to check out the K850 controlling the classic Sony Ericsson Bluetooth car, CAR-100.

Funny how the interviewer from SUN played deaf every time he heared the word Flash regarding it’s integration with Java in capuchin. Infact he only praised Java, java and java :)

It was quite a cool demo, using the Accelerometer feature of the phones to control the Bluetooth car motion (back forth left right) by tilting the phone in various directions. These small cars were once used for promoting Bluetooth, now they came to use in new unexpected ways.
