First Impressions Of The Z770
“Wow - the front of this one looks amazing” was probably my first thought when unboxing the Z770. It gets even better once you pick it up, and you feel how well it fits in your palm. It’s obvious that the designers of the Z770 have been had a look out for the small, yet important details. One is that the phone’s outside is completely flush around the flip hinge when opened. It simply feels like a piece of heaven. Another thing you’ll notice on the front is a mono-coloured outer display, which I’m quite fond of already.
The Z770 is a light-weight phone. It feels rock solid in hand, although the flip is a tiny bit loose (it can be moved about 0.1 millimetre). To my great surprise, the keypad on the Z770 is excellent! It offers great tactile feedback, and the large keys are really comfortable to use and with large spacing between them as well. While I would probably have wanted a better, marked separation of the keys, it doesn’t really matter that much.
The display is gorgeus! It’s a 2.2 inch TFT display, capable of showing upto 262.144 colours. Its colour saturation and representation is superb, and it’s got a very decent viewing angle to top it of with.
The camera, on the other hand, isn’t much to write home about. It’s a mediocre “snapper” camera, and you won’t be able to use the pictures for much other than goofing around with your friends or posting on your MySpace profile!
So, that was our short preview / first impressions of the Z770. Stay tuned for a review of it later this month.

i knew the lcd was gonna be a great one as i stated in an earlier thread i have a question though is it good/visible the external LCD to see messages/missed calls, etc.thanks

Indeed, you did say so
The display is very bright, but doesn’t perform that well in direct sunlight. If you’ve got a bit of shadow, though, it’ll be very good. The external display is excellent for viewing new messages alerts, missed calls and such

Pretty awesome design and great finish too!

Waiting for your review….and if it performs as good as it looks, then SE has a winner!
