I’ve just finished my review of the Sony Ericsson P1 smart phone. I am very impressed by the phone and its business capabilities.
Lots of RAM memory for multitasking, a powerful battery and an excellent price makes this a very good phone.

Sony Ericsson has just recently filed a patent on a haptic touch screen gaming device. The patent goes by the name “Orientation based multiple mode mechanically vibrated touchscreen display”, and among a set of nice designs, it shows a very PSP-like concept. But, not only does it look like a PSP device, the patent also states that the PSP mode is “set out to mimic the look and feel of the popular Sony.TM. Playstation Portable (PSP.TM.) gaming device”, as well as about 5 other mentionings of the PSP brand. Interesting!! Continue reading “PSP Gaming Device Patent Filed By Sony Ericsson”

Something seems to have happened as Sony Ericsson today removed the Windows short cut key on the front of the X1 photos. If you compare photos of the phone before and the phone photos today, you’ll notice that the key is now blank. Check the detail here:

It seems like all photos with the exception of the press photos have been edited. I’ll try to get a comment on this. Check out the XPERIA mini-site to see for yourself!

A new version of the Emma flashing tool for Sony Ericsson workers, application developers, repair and service teams and alike is out. This one includes lots of new features and a complete make-over in terms of the graphical user interface.

So, if this is only for special people, why am I telling you about it? Because, it is likely that SEUS will also soon come with a new GUI and the same new features (performance and usability improvements). Emma can be found here and must be downloaded (not just updated with the old client).
More pictures of Emma running and logged in, after the break. Continue reading “New Emma Client Out With New GUI, Features & More”

Sony Ericsson has just officially announced the Sony Ericsson T303 - the first slider in the T-series, which might come as a surprise to many. T303 is a low-end slider targeted at style-concious consumers.
- The T303 is a great addition to the Sony Ericsson T-line of products, combining premium finish and materials with a good feature-set to deliver ‘style with substance’, says Lykke Tærsbøl, Senior Designer at the Sony Ericsson Creative Design Centre in the press release.
T303’s housing is made of metal and has a chrome finish and the 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels is mirrored. T303 is a very small phone at only 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm and a weight of 93 grams.
T303 features a 1.3 mega pixel camera, an FM radio, the unique TrackID feature and Bluetooth. It is delivered with the Protective Case IDC-22, which is a part of Sony Ericsson’s fashion line of accessories.
It will be available in stores in mid 2008, and will come in two colours; Shimmering Silver and Shadow Black.

Lately there have been some rumours about the release date of X1. It was said that it supposedly won’t see the light of the day till some time in February 2009. I’ve told many people otherwise and I have now fetched an official statement regarding the X1 and its release.
- I can confirm that we will be launching the X1 product in 2nd Half of 2008, as per our announcement of 10th February that we made in Barcelona, said Aldo Liguori, who is the Corporate Vice President of the Global Communications and PR department at Sony Ericsson.
So, there you have it. The only reason for the mysterious “10th of February release” is the fact that Sony Ericsson (or should I say Microsoft) has yet to decide on when to publicly announce the operating system and technical specifications of the X1, and thereby also a precise release date.
