W910 Wins “Best Handset” 2008 Award

Some might remember that the W910 music phone was a nominee in “Best handset” category at the 2008 Global Mobile Awards.

Guess what - it won! This is great news for Sony Ericsson.

- We are very proud to receive such a prestigious award for what has proved to be a very popular product, says Hideki ‘Dick’ Komiyama, President of Sony Ericsson.

- The W910 Walkman makes it quicker and easier to transfer or download music. It’s also about thinking beyond music, to games, videos and the Web, he continued.

Judges’ comments were: “The Sony Ericsson W910 is a superb all-rounder. A compelling, easy to use design that has captured the imagination of consumers around the world in 2007.”

    Wow, Awesome! I just purchased my first SE phone 3 days ago, and it was a w910i. I can honestly see why it won. Awesome battery life, great interface, great design, and superb software. I don’t think I’ll ever go back^^

    I am getting a W910i next week. Too be honest, I was a little worried about getting one for a few days. I thought maybe I should get a K850i… But then I don’t need the camera so why should I pay for it? And I thought, what about the W890i? But then that isn’t even coming out here and I don’t want to import. And then I saw that the W910i won and then I was sure I’d get it. I saw one for the first time today too, and I am now completely sold on it. This is definitely good advertising for the phone. I hope it is also encouraging for SE! :D
