USEB in partnership with eSeth.net

eSeth.net is a great site for especially fantastic Sony Ericsson themes, and lately they’ve also added news and reviews sections for Nokia phones (news only) and Sony Ericsson phones (news, reviews and a future section about theming). I’m proud to say that eSeth.net users will now also be able to find a large part of the published Sony Ericsson reviews from this blog at eSeth.net. Not all reviews are yet published there, but I’m sure they’ll get there some time soon.

Check out their review section here.

Audio and video podcaster for UIQ 3

My friend Sebastian Brännström (aka teknolog) and Lars Persson (aka AnotherGuest) have been developing a really cool freeware application for UIQ 3. It’s an audio and video podcast application called Escarpod. The graphics in the application has been created by Alan Eddie, who has done a fabulous job! I was first helping a little with the icons, but Alan’s are far better :-)
Escarpod was recently submitted to the UIQ Open contest and was then published on the project website on the first of January. Escarpod is currently in a beta 2 stage and the release version will come later in January with more translations (I’ve added the Danish translation!). Escarpod will run on any UIQ 3 phone, but it’s highly recommended to use it on one with WLAN to cut the data expenses.

You can read more and download the free application here.

The open source Bergamot project - as this UIQ 3 project has been called - also includes other applications and very exciting future projects and ports from S60 to UIQ 3. You can find more info about the project on its Google Code website.

ces.jpg

In this blog post I’ll be doing a little foreseeing and will try to put into words what might happen at this year’s CES show in Las Vegas - Sony Ericsson products - and possibly some strategies - of course. CES starts at the 7th and ends on the 10th this month. So, lets get on with it…

w880_preview.jpgLast year at the CES show, Sony Ericsson announced the low-end W200 music phone and previewed the W880, which was then later announced on the 6th of February, about a month later. Furthermore they announced a few accessories.

The year before this they announced the W810 music phone and the portable speakers MPS-60. Again, music focused products. Continue reading “CES 2008 - what will we see from Sony Ericsson?”

My K850 isn’t working

After some “fun” time in EMMA and an accidental phone lock reset on my K850, it stopped accepting SIM cards, so now it’s not working :-(
I’m posting about this because I promised you guys an in-depth going review of K850’s camera, which I won’t be able to do now. At least not until I find a way to unlock it for free.
